Privacy Policy

Meta-Stamp ("Meta-Stamp," "we," "us") operates meta-stamp.com and the creator platform at app.meta-stamp.com — a registry and licensing rail that lets creators register their work and get paid when AI agents license access to it. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: chris@meta-stamp.com.

What we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and login credentials (handled by our authentication provider), plus profile details you choose to add.
Content metadata you register. When you register work — by file upload, catalog import, or YouTube connection — we store descriptive metadata: titles, identifiers, rights and ownership information, and licensing terms you set. For direct file uploads, we compute a digital fingerprint (cryptographic hashes and perceptual signatures) of the file to identify it; the metadata and fingerprint are what we keep as your registry record.
Payment information. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card or bank numbers on our servers; we keep transaction records (amounts, dates, status) for your ledger.
Platform activity. The core of our service is a record of machine access to registered work: license requests, denials, and completed transactions, with timestamps. We also collect standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) to run and secure the service.

YouTube API Services

Meta-Stamp uses YouTube API Services to let creators connect a YouTube channel. By connecting your channel, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

When you connect a channel, we request a single read-only permission (youtube.readonly) and use it for exactly two things: verifying that you own the channel you are registering, and reading video titles and IDs to create your registry records. We store your channel ID, those titles and IDs, and OAuth tokens, which are encrypted on our backend and never exposed to the browser. We do not download your media files, we do not upload to or modify anything on your YouTube account, and we do not access YouTube analytics or revenue data.

You can revoke Meta-Stamp's access at any time from the Disconnect button on the YouTube page inside the app, or via your Google security settings. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens from our systems.

How we use information

To operate the registry: create and display your records, verify ownership, enforce your licensing terms, and pay you.
To maintain the access ledger that is the product itself — the timestamped record of requests, denials, and licensed transactions involving your work.
To communicate with you about your account and the service.
To secure, debug, and improve the platform.

We do not use your content or your personal information to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who run the platform for us (hosting, authentication, payment processing), when a transaction you authorized requires it (for example, license records shared with the paying party), and when the law requires it. Registry information you choose to make publicly discoverable — such as a work's title and licensing availability — is visible to the AI agents and buyers the platform exists to serve; your private contact details are not included in those responses.

How we protect your data

We protect all information on the platform — and sensitive data such as authentication credentials in particular — with layered safeguards:

Encryption in transit. Every connection to Meta-Stamp, including all transfers of Google user data, is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Encryption of sensitive credentials. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on our backend and are never exposed to the browser. Full payment card and bank numbers never touch our servers — payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified processor.
Access controls. Production systems and databases are access-controlled, with access limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
Data minimization. We request the minimum YouTube permission (read-only), store descriptive metadata rather than media files, and exclude personal contact details from licensing responses sent to third parties.
Security monitoring. We maintain standard security logs and review platform activity to detect and prevent unauthorized access.
Incident response. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will promptly notify affected users and, where required by law, regulators.

We do not request or store special categories of sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers or health information.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. Disconnecting YouTube deletes stored tokens immediately. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by emailing chris@meta-stamp.com; we will honor the request except for records we must keep for legal, tax, or completed-transaction purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email us and we will make it happen. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

Meta-Stamp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged to account holders by email.
